AI for Good Global Summit

The WildDrone team took part in the AI for Good Global Summit at Palexpo in Geneva, the UN’s flagship annual event dedicated to harnessing artificial intelligence in support of the Sustainable Development Goals. The event took place from 8 -11th of  July 2025.

Under the guidance of Professors Tom Richardson and Ulrik Pagh Schultz‑Lundquist, doctoral candidates Guy Maalouf (DC7), Constanza Molina (DC10), Lucie Laporte‑Devylder (DC4), Edouard Rolland (DC6) and Kilian Meier (DC13) presented the results of our recent hackathon in Kenya, as well as the potential of drones and AI‑related technologies for nature‑conservation missions.

The WildDrone booth drew strong public interest, and our team engaged in discussions with industry stakeholders, government institutions and curious members of the AI community. The doctoral candidates also attended expert talks by world‑leading AI researchers such as Geoffrey Hinton who shared his perspectives on the future of AI, its ethics and the need for transparency in AI systems.
