WildDrone Summer School 2025

The WildDrone Summer School hosted by MPG in Konstanz took place from 22-26 September and brought together 32 participants, including 11 of our WildDrone Doctoral Candidates, for an exciting deep dive into drone-based ecology and wildlife conservation.

The program included hands-on tutorials, an interactive poster session, and engaging discussions that spanned disciplines—from conservation biology to robotics and computer vision.

One of the highlights was the keynote by Tanya Berger-Wolf, Ohio State University, who shared fascinating insights on how AI can support biodiversity conservation.

It was a fantastic opportunity to connect, learn, and exchange ideas. Huge thanks to our local hosts, Andrea Flack and Blair Costelloe!
